A Little Surprise

Here is an end scrap from a piece I'm working with. Original plan was to twist and split out the middle. Now I'm not sure. Didn't think the end pattern would be this interesting. At 3/4 round, it's limited.
What do you think it will look like twisted and split out? Might be nice to slice pucks and weld to both sides of a piece of 1080, but a lot of work with high go bad potential.

This looks a lot like what I've heard called an explosion pattern, basically a twisted 'w' pattern... I think it looks awesome what you have there. The end piece would make a nifty belt buckel...

Well if you want to see how it turned out, take a look in the custom knives for sale area under the damascus and mammoth ivory dagger. Mr Walker you sure make nice damascus.
