Beautiful job, my friend.
The collector will be very proud of these fine pieces of your art.
This is the first Spyderco that I have seen with a decorated blade.
Very clever and well done.
Take care of yourself.
John.

Lovely workmanship. What acid do you use to etch the stainless steel?

best wishes,
Marcus

My friend darling John:

It is a pleasure to read his words. I hope that he be doing all right in Reno and enjoy of friends. These engravings in pocketknifes have been Spyderco complicated and a challenge for the type of steel rustless. But he has been pleasing to many friends, that they have congratulated me.
Thanks and best regards.

Bold and amazing.....

Dear Antonio,

Wonderful work on a pair of knives that I have always considered so bold
and dramatic in design. Your engraving brought them to to an amazing
level!

All the best,
David Darom (ddd)

Antonio, whenever I've tried to use nitric acid on stainless steel I can not get it to bite. What dilution do you use? Do you mix it with any other acid?

best wishes
Marcus

Thanks to wholes for your words.
Friend Don:
I wait than you and the family be well I embrace .Best regards

Friend David:
It is a pleasure to read his words and I hope that you be doing all right with the 4 book. Best regards.

Friend Marcus:
I utilize the nitric acid reduced with water; 1 part of nitric and 3 of water. But nitric acid recently prepared will not attack inox to the steel; This acid recently prepared this very clean and he does not have impurities. The impurities are necessary for that the acid attack or bite the inox better. I add the carbon to the acid little pieces of steel ( never collect ) that he will eat them with facility and he will get remains and impurities in that acid; Then he makes the attack of steel easy. Also the good guy is than the acid this to temperate temperature ( but that it not be very cold ).
A hug to wholes and thanks.

Gracias a todos por vuestras palabras .
Amigo Don :

A little help in translation

Clarifying this translation a bit:

Amigo Marcus :

The impurities are necessary in order to atack or bite better on the Stainless.

I add small pieces (probably filings) of carbon steel ( never Copper) that the acid will eat (disolve) easily and acquires the remains of the impurities, which will facilitate the atack on the Steel.
Also it is better that the acid is at room temperature (but isn't very cold).

Un abrazo a todos y gracias .
