First Folders

These are my first DDR Kits.

DDRI has Black Micarta scales and is relieved for the liner lock. Vine File work on ATS34 Spine.

DDRII is straight up with Micarta Scales.

Vine work thanks to Bruce Evans Tutorial and Gene Osborn Video. Thanks Guys!!!

Are you kidding me???!!!

Bob, you are awesome! That is a super effort for a first-timer (or you're a BIG FAT liar!! ) You definitely were inspired. Just plain wonderful.

I think we have some latent talent in these knives starting to come out!

You da MAN!!!

Re: backspacer?

Thanks, Guys. I watched the video a few time and read and reread the tutorial before I starrted.. Then I just took my time. and VOILA......

Clayton,

I just used a piece of ATS34 and made a pattern following the outside to the liner and using the pivot hole put the blade on the ATS34 and traced a line that would leave adequate space to the blade. Cut, file, check the shape, drill the pass thru hole for the two spine screws, Check the fit again.... Then mark out and file according to the tutorials.

Thanks to everyone on CKD for all the information!!!

Re: video?

Hello Clayton,
Bob was referring to my hunter video. It shows a filework section that Bob used here.
There is a folder video in the works, but won't be ready till Summer time. Hope it helps.
