Hi there.
I do use the mosaic abalone from Mother of Pearl. (go to Ebay number 280061013462 to see one) but I want some natural shell abalone that mother of Pearl doesn't seem to carry. Frank __________________ Without collectors there would not be makers. |

Frank
Sorry I have not been on the forum for a bit but you got good answers. I did get them from mother of pearl. I ended up talking to them direct to get exactly what I wanted but they were great to work with. Thanks for that, Steve. I think Frank Niro taught me the difference once before, but I've changed computers and lost all my old bookmarks.
I'll google the right one now and save it. |

I just realized it was not motherofpearl.net that I used for the abalone but rather www.mopsupplies.com They have an amazing selection of various shell slabs and were also good to work with.
Sorry for the confusion Steve __________________ Stephen Vanderkolff Please come on over and check out my website. http://www.vanderkolffknives.com/ Thanks |

That's a new one on me, Steve.
Did you have to specify size and have them cut it? |

Don
Yes I emailed them and specified what I was using it for as well as size. They told me what they had or could get. I was quite impressed withthier quality. The slabs on the abalone pocket/purse were B grade pieces and they turned out beautiful. The shipping from Australia was not much longer than from stateside for me.
