Ice

Anyone else 'trapped' indoors by this stupid ice storm hitting the midwest? I have two trees whose limbs are iced over so much the are touching the ground and they were trimmed up to just over six and a half feet a few months ago.

We're waiting for it. This morning it rained up to 7 inches in parts of south Austin. So now the ground is soaked and we're in a winter weather warning for the next couple days with up to an inch of ice predicted by Monday.

What part of Okla are you in? My in-laws live in Bonham, about 30 miles south of Durant.

I'm in Ada it's about an hour north of Durant. We are right on the line between bad an worse. OKC and Tulsa got hit harder than we did but I think McAlester was the worst. They had about 10,000 people without electricity this morning on the news.

Today's storm brought more freezing rain and most eastern part of state with out electricity. Friends in Wagoner have no electricity at their house or parentsw but the store downtwon has it. Says trees look like being bombed in the top. Worse he can remember in his 50 years in twon. Several deaths out west and 150000 without any power. Mike

One of the local Junior Highs on the other side of Ada is 'engulfed in flames' per the evening news. They are saying it is related to an ice downed power line. We are definately keeping all of these people in our prayers as God has blessed us with little to no misshaps this storm.
