The metal fabrication world lost an innovative person on 8-30-2004
Indian Larry, the chopper motorcyle builder passed away. Larry was famous for the bikes he built but also for the stunts he performed on them. Larry died performing one of those stunts.
Here is a link to the story. Indian Larry story in Charlotte Observer newspaper You can visit his web page at http://www.indianlarry.com/ I hate to see anyone pass on but I really get bummed when it is someone so creative and very well versed in metal fabrication. I shall always remember the Discovery Channel "Biker Build Off" when I intently watched Indian Larry and his crew make a downtube out of a piece of 2" solid bar that they made a special turning wrench and reverse-twisted while heating with a torch. it was way cool.
As I said on a thread on BF, while it is a tragic loss, Indian Larry had seemingly made peace with God and Life, and died doing what he wanted to do. He will not be forgotten, and many vests will bear his patch. RIP, Bro! Old School will live on in your memory! |
