Clayton, I use jeweler's files on liners, and dremels only on hardened blades.
I do colored filework on titanium liners. The files give me more control and a better repeatability for success.
I assemble the knife and mark it off with a sharpie marker where I want the scores, then take it apart and file the markings. This helps everything to match when it goes back together.
I often get more for the filework than the knife itself.
If you go to my web page, check out the close ups of the folders for examples. I'll be happy to help answer any questions for you. Many people have never seen different colored filework.

Re: -HTML?

Hope I'm not breaking any rules here. HTML?
Pat(my Knifewife) told me that I need to come explain these pics of colored filework.
It really is quite easy.
It only works on Titanium (or niobium, or some other real expensive metal)
First I color it with the color that needs the higher voltage, then clean the metal I want another color, and re anodize at a lower voltage for different color. These are just some example from knives already sold.

Re:

Sorry about that. I just put a little html tag in my comment to say "WOW!", but it apparently doesn't allow them and defaults to that statement.

WOW! Nice filework.

Thanks Sam. Just a trick I picked up along the way.
It is really very easy to do too.
Maybe I'll put that in the folder video coming up.
Hope it helps someone anyway.
Be Blessed.
