Renaissance wax polish
Gotta Laugh. I just bought some of this stuff from Texas Knife Supplu, about $14US, plus shipping, plus VAT for a 65ml tin. I was ordering some other stuff and had heard someone raving about how good it is (and it is too). Anyway, took delivery of my package yeaterday and what does it say on the tin "Made in England" -Doof
I found a UK link where it is a "little" cheaper. http://www.conservation-by-design.co...undries31.html |

You have the well traveled version now.

Gene's got a point Martyn, the stuff that's crossed the Atlantic twice is well aged a bit like the original India Pale Ale that was suppost to be ballast in ships all the way to India and back...
Ren Wax is THE conservator's wax, pretty much the only stuff most conservators will put on wood, leather or metal after working on old items. That looks like a useful supplier too, acid-free boxes and papers, just right for the collector. That one goes on my little list Roger |

Well, the well travelled version might have culture, but I'd have prefered the economy class to be honest
"ren-wax" ... another "doof". I've heard that so many times, but never made the connection to renaissance wax. Ahwell, live and learn |
