Nice job on the folders! I just moved to Katy last week...actually, still moving. Every couple days I go pick up another load of crap from Bryan and take down. Next load will include all/most the knifemaking stuff.

I have a pretty nice 2-car garage to use. Not quite the 30 x 60 barn I had, but I'll make it work. How did you end up setting your shop up Les? You should do a "shop tour", write it up and send it to Don R to include in the next newsletter!

So who's up for a hammer-in/BBQ some time in the next 30 days?

Katy?! That's quite a change from the back woods of Bryan!!

Does this mean we're gonna have to behave?

The boys will have to start wearing shoes and stop dippin' snuff at school.

Just seems like Donny is more at home lost in some African jungle than in a Katy subdivision.

Does this mean you have to evict all them critters living in those bags of iron ore?

We've been getting a trailer full of crap every few days and sorting as we go so the new place doesn't end up looking like th eold one. All the knife equip will come down today, so the next hammer-in will be here in Katy.

You won't want to miss the moving out party in Bryan, though. I'll have lots of blackpowder and old appliances!

The boys are having a hard time with the whole "no peeing in the front yard" thing. So am I for that matter! We'll see how the first round of hammering goes in a week or so. The whole subdivision seems to be hunters, though, so it might not be too bad. We are in the goose/duck capital of TX here! I'll miss the blind chickens the most!

All I have in the shop right now is paper wasps and possums. The storage building to the left of it, however....I found out yesterday that I have about 500-1000 yellowjackets in a couple boxes of crap. They didn't mind me moving stuff around, but got pretty pissed when I started spraying the paper wasp nests above the boxes! Where's a bottle of chlorine gas when you need one! Guess I'll have to settle for Bengal bug bomb!

I'm thinking the 16th or 17th of August looks pretty good. I'll consult Jen's schedule first, though. We'll see if we can drag Les up here, and Wade down here! We'll have the next on at Les'...especially if it coincides with the Fall flounder run out Matagorda! I actually have more "quality" room in the new garage, than I did in the barn. All the "crap" is eventually going to either a storgae building, my parent's place up at Kerrville, or the burn barrel!

Hi there, Don!

I hope you adapt well to civilization and continue your hammerins.

Please send me what you have for the newsletter. It ought to be the high point. News from deep, dark Africa!
