Tough to come by in the old standard guard sized stock. And if you can/do, the prices will floor you. What I've been doing is buying round stock, which is readily available, and forging it down to guard stock.

Look around.....you might just be able to find a machine shop or even someplace that makes gun parts that will sell you their scrape cheap.

Hi Robert,
Try "Knife & Gun Supplies" in Arizona. I looked up on their web site. They show 416 in 3/8"x 3/4" x 12" and 1/4"x 3/4" x 12". I have ordered other materials from them.Good to work with.
