416 stainless
Where can I find some 416 for guards? Robert

Tough to come by in the old standard guard sized stock. And if you can/do, the prices will floor you. What I've been doing is buying round stock, which is readily available, and forging it down to guard stock.

Hi Robert,
Try "Knife & Gun Supplies" in Arizona. I looked up on their web site. They show 416 in 3/8"x 3/4" x 12" and 1/4"x 3/4" x 12". I have ordered other materials from them.Good to work with. Good luck. __________________ Bruce Bingenheimer MLazyB Custom Knives ABS Journeyman Smith |
