0-1 heat treats......


The posts on 5160 and 1095 has made me wonder if 0-1 would benefit from such practices.

O-1 will show only a slight improvement. To the point where I'm not sure it's worth the extra effort. However, I do believe that most forgeable steels will benifit from multiple tempering cycles. If nothing more than to ensure complete transformation has taken place.
