Good thing my wallet is empty or it would be shortly. Ed, have you ever made one with Micarta scales?

Joe,

Yes on the Micarta. When I first started producing the EBKs, they all had micarta slabs. It was OK, but after fitting one with G-10 and then carrying it around for a few months, I decided that I liked G-10 better than micarta. For one, the colors of G-10 stay bold and fresh looking. I also think that it's a bit tougher than micarta. It's also a bit easier to work than micarta. And finally, I like the range of colors that are available.
Both of the materials have many qualities in common, but overall I'd take G-10 to micarta any day of the week.
