Wood wax

Anyone recommend a good wax to put on wood handles that have been oil finished?

I'd like to see an answer to that from someone who does a lot of wood finishing (I use only stabilized wood which needs no finishing). It seems to me that wax over oil could be problematic, sort of a wax or oil but not both kind of thing but that may not be correct. I use Renaissance Wax on any type of handle material. I'm not sure how much good it would do over oil but I doubt it would be a problem ...

I finish some wood handles with Danish or Tung oil from time to time--iron woods, whiskey barrel oak, etc.

Once they are dry, I use the same wax on them that I do everything--Old Masters Paste Wax. Almost pure carnuba. (advice from MS Steve Culver)

I used to use Turtle Wax and Ren Wax, but I prefer this product now.

Every surface gets a coat for protection.

I would second what Ray said, Renaissance wax for me as well, goes on every wood handle made whether stabilized or not, just great protection from oils in the hand and moisture in the air. Can be a little pricey but a little goes a long way. Most woodcraft stores carry it.
