Paintor, very nice classic look. I've heard those buggers (Rugers) are harder than "H".
What kind of treatment after the engraving, hot or cold blue?

Yep, Rugers are tough. Especially the loading gate. I just finished a Red Label shotgun that was one of the toughest I've ever done. It sure makes you find a way to make a graver grind for tough metal. BTW, I use Lindsay carbalt exclusively. This revolver was hot blue finished. The cheesy aluminum parts (lower frame and ejector rod housing) were finished with Gun-Kote.
