Restoration question
If you send a pinned stag handle that needs to be replaced..will it be pinned stag when you get it back?

Wideglide,
If you send a pinned stag Randall back for handle repair, not only will it be repaired in the current handle technique, i.e.: No pins, but it will probably have an entirely different piece of stag installed. Grindo can probably verify this, but stag handles "usually" have to be busted up pretty darn good when removed. Hope this helps. Thanks cap'n, I was wondering if modern techniques/epoxys etc were used or the original integrity was retained. Which raises an interesting question..what would you do with a pinned stag knife that had cracked and lost a piece over the years?

What model? If it were a 1/4" stock or larger knife, I'd find me a nice piece of crown stag, send it in and get er' done!! Best, Captain Chris Stanaback
