horizontal belt grinder

I've been thinking of buying one of the horizontal belt grinders from KMG. Seems like a great tool particularly using the contact wheels to work the insides of slip joint springs and the curve on the bottom of the blade tangs leading into the kick. Right now I use the flat vertical platen, and track the belt off the edge to work the curves.

Does anyone use one of the horizontal grinders? or have another metod of working these areas?

here's a link to the KMG horizontal grinders.

Thanks

Had a version made for me to fit the KMG small wheel head and its great for lots of jobs saves me a set up on the Std grinder as its usually always set to profile at 90 deg but also use it for front of scales angle and shaping scales etc

I made mine from a drawing i found somewhere. Actually quite a straight forward build. Use it on every knife I make.

Horizontal Grinder

I've had mine for 7 or 8 years and use it on almost every knife I make. It's an indispensable tool. Get a variable speed if you can.
