New to CKD & Bladesmithing

Hello all,

I am an active duty Paratrooper. I have been forging knives for a year now and love it. Usually call it my mistress, but my wife says the is a bladesmith's widow....LOL..

I have been doing random, ladder, birds-eye, and cable (wire) damascus for the last 4 months and starting to do simple forging of mosaic damascus. I am currently in Clarksville TN in a commissioning program to become a RN and giving up Recon for the 82nd ABN DIV last year. I am excited about learning from you all and want to thank the moderators and Bob Warner for telling me about CKD Forums.

I have been fortunate to meet some local makers here like Kim Breed and Gary Wheeler. WE all have the same affliction.........Steel and all I have ran into are "buddies" like an AA convention.

I am excited about joining.... THANKS!!

HOOOAH!!!

Welcome to the CKD Daniel!

If forging is your thing, be sure to check out Ed Caffrey's forum. He's the last word on forging for the CKD...
