spine holes

hi guys,
i bought the gpc-1000 and the back spine with it a few weeks ago.
Im just wondering why are the holes in the back spine so large? they are drilled quite a bit bigger than the screws that go through them so the spine is able to move around. Is this for a specific reason?

Hello Brett,

I see you have been waiting for a bit... so I will take a 'stab' at this one...

The oversized holes help you position the spine where you need it to go, depending on what you have done to your kit - customization would affect the alignment.

And... I know I never make a mistake, but it will allow some latitude to help you cover up something that was unintentional...

Does that make sense?

HTH...
