Air Hammer Parts?
Hey Everyone
My "back burner project" for the summer is to build a small air hammer. Does anyone know of a good source for the parts? For that matter, anyone know of good sets of plans/ designs available? Thanks Dave Armour |

I would love an air hammer too, but I doubt if plans are going to just pop up here.
We have had machanical hammers shown here, tire hammers, trip hammers and treddle hammers, but an air hammer I'm sure is more complicated to make right. I imagine anyone who took the time to plan one and draw it out wants to sell the plans rather than give them away. You might try searching the internet for air hammer manufacturers, and see what you might find. If you find a parts list and drawing...... Happy hunting and let us know what you find out. Geno |

Thanks. I had figured I would be purchasing plans. Was wondering if anyone had built one & could point me in the right direction. I'll keep you posted on what I find.

ABANA sells plans for the Kinyon design. And there are at least a couple re-works of the controls for that design scattered around the net. Haven't used one myself, but have known folks who had them. I wouldn't mind building one some day.

For a small Press a lot of guys use a Air/Hydralic Jack from Harbor freight. There's info around the web. Don Foggs forum has info on ones that have been built.
