Now that is a "Crew". I managed to bump heads with Sandy and Paul, but missed seeing the rest of you guys.

Now that I have a face to put with a name, you will see me next year for sure.

Great show...... Great people......... Great time.

Robert

I'm proud to say I own at least one sheath made by each of these Masters

They could start a John Ford style stampede in any herd of cows

It was a great show! I enjoyed seeing Paul and Sandy again and meeting Dave. I got a picture of Paul and Sandy while they were near our table and thought I had caught Dave in time to make the shot but he headed out before I could get my camera ready. The Blade Show isn't just about the knives.... I'm not even sure it is mainly about the knives, but for me I think it is becoming more about the people. There was a great group there and I really appreciate y'all stopping by our table for a visit.

What's really unnerving is to have Sandy bring some of these hooligans by your table to look at your sheaths! Kind of like a colonoscopy with your pants on. Got to agree with Harry, though, meeting new friends, renewing old relationships, and harassing everyone else. Great weekend for sure.

What really made my day was when one of the "guys that do leather" walked up to our table, picked up one of my sheaths and said "good chance I'm going to copy that one." I could have gone home happy right then, even knowing that his would make mine look unfinished.

After explaining to 7 or 8 makers how to do the finish I use on my sheaths, over the run of the show, I was beginning to feel almost like a pro myself. Then I would see a sheath made by Sandy, or Paul and my hat would all of a sudden fit again.

Dave Cole, Rest in peace, my friend

I am bumping this so that we can pay homage to a great man who departed this life early this afternoon

The cows may be happy, feel a little bit safer tonight, but I am hurt to my soul. Dave was my Brother, and a kinder man never lived.
God Bless and Keep you Dave, and Linda also.
We will miss you, and pray for you, every day.
Linda, my deepest condolences. I can't imagine your loss....
Mike

I never had the pleasure of meeting Dave, and now somehow feel left disappointed in that missing. His work is inspiring, and one can tell he was loved by those who knew him. Remember that life, and the richness that he lent to those around him. The whole community is touched by this, and words do not express the wishes for those left behind to heal from this loss. Linda, he thanked you for giving him time to work with what he loved and for your support. Allow me to say the same, and end with sorrow for your loss.
