Electro Chemical Ecther?
I'm looking into purchasing my first electro chemical ecther.
I'm wondering if anyone has used the one available from CLASSIC Knife kits? I was also considering the personalizer ecther for $119, any input on either of these ecthers would be appreciated. |

Tbonz,
Do a search and you will get enough info to confuse you for life, (the blue button at the head of the page) Both of the ones you mentioned will work, buying or making your own stencils is another choice you will have to make. Do a search for; etcher - makers mark - stencil - etching power supply Bob Warner has plans for making a power supply and stencil exposure unit on his web site. There are lots of choices, many people start out and stay with the ones you mentioned. __________________ PaulD Founding member and secretary of; New England Custom Knife Association (NECKA) Check out our new website! |

Tbonz, another option is to buy one from Ron Claiborne. Ron makes etchers and sells them at a good price. He also gives a lifetime warranty on them. If you don't want to build your own, I'd say this is the way to go... Ron's email is: bowie2002@comcast.net
and his phone number is (865) 524-2054 -Darren __________________ Gas Forges, Refractory, & Knifemaking Supplies Refractory.EllisCustomKnifeworks.com Visit the Forge Gallery - forge building resource pages ForgeGallery.EllisCustomKnifeworks.com |
