Hardened stop pin

Where can I find hardened steel dowels to use as stop pins for folding knives. I noticed that Sheffields has steel dowels, but are they hardened?

perhaps try

what i like to use..
needle bearings.. they are available in many useable sizes
up to and including piviot pin diameters.. they are precision sized,
and hardened better than most any other similar item. there
are multitudes of companys that make them.. most are willing to
send samples of any size you request for your testing. plus you
can case color them..look nice! jim
