Hey Dogman,
Like the arm, looks great. There is some serious talent out there. The welder tattoo Tim herman referenced has been saved to my desktop for future reference. I don't want a huge one like that but the 1/2 sleeve would be cool. Wife is not REAL happy about me looking at sleeves at all but she is cool so we will see where it goes. |

nothin's for sure, but this brand new tattoo
Long ago, while traveling on the Normal fest tour. A young kid named Josh Hayward, working as a performance artist with the Circus Apocalypse use to come on his time off at the show and watch me tattoo. He said that he wanted to learn to tattoo. I hear that at least 5 times a week, so I just nodded and told him if he wanted it, he would make it happen. In 99' I met up with him at the Gem City Tat Convention in Dayton OH. and sure enough, he was working hard at learning and had a job working for an artist there. He heard me talking about getting a Zippo tattooed on the back of my hand and went and drew one up. I told him I liked it and went back to work. This past weekend I met up with him again at the International Tattoo Convention in Columbus. He has his own shop now and has one some pretty impressive awards and even a cover on a mag. After a short chat about the good old days, he asked me if I remembered the Zippo and of course I did. After a short hunt he came up with it having saved it for all those years. Not ones to argue with fate, we both agreed it was the time to do it. __________________ "Many are chosen, but few are Pict" "The doer alone, learneth" NT Neo-Devo |

I know you guys are all at Blade having fun...
So I started a blog on my body-piece. Click on the link below and click on "Thoughts." I'll probably update it once a month as each session occurs... |

Great idea to keep the blog. Long ago, I wondered and still do, Why young girls and guys always pic mythilogical creatures for a theme. Fairies and Unicorns Dragons, and Pixies. Is it because they are whats available. or are they inherent memories from the not too distant past. I don't believe any tattoo is picked at random. The reason for the choice might not be known to the victim, but it is there none the less.

Your blog comment about the sternum brought to mind a "fond" memory of when I had the eagle inked across my chest. Thinking it would be nice to start out "easy", I was in the process of telling the artist to start on a pectoral muscle when he interrupted; jamming the needle right into the base of the breastbone and proclaiming, "May as well get the tender part done first!" Flesh sure is thin there, isn't it?
