Neosporin is what I have used since I got it. I also tried Neosporin with pain reliever hoping that it would help but did not notice any difference.

The overall tattoo is not bothering me but where the hairs come together the damage to my skin is increased and those little areas itch a lot. It has been 8 days so it should stop pretty soon.

I might try the Prep-H if I remember to get some tomorrow.

roc those are great lookin concepts brother!!! i really like tha hammer n anvil/knife idea man! bob if ya start puttin some curell on that tattoo bout three times a day it'll heal up fastewr and with less itchin! that lotion will keep moisture down in tha tattoo as opposed to just sittin on tha surface which is what neosporin does.neo also leaves a petrolatum base on the surface that collects airborne germs which are absorbed into tha skin through that base. overall the best thing for any new tattoo is to keep it clean and washed up well through the first week. -fed

I know a knifemaker who has two eyeballs on his butt cheeks, but I won't tell you which Rade Hawkins that is!

Bob,

It's not that bad, the oddest part of getting my back done was when a nerve got hit. That and the ointment sticking to my shirt while riding my bike to work.

You got me wanting a new one now.

Smile itchy tat ???

Bob; I've got a tat on both arms up by the shoulder..
Was told to use A&D ointment, just like for diaper rash when our kids were wee pups..
It worked very well; healed up nice; and no problems..
My artist ( Dice ) told me it was a " controlled abrasion of the skin " ; and treat it like a burn..
Hope this helps ; sure worked for me

Does anyone have any tattoos as tributes to other knifemakers? I know several people have them for Rob Simonich. Anyone have them for others?

Cool

Why do I get all the chicks who want butterflies and fairies? Jeeze...

Bob, how 'bout a blade 75% chisled from 'stone' with the stone effect being created in your own skin. The shadow work would be incredible in a grey scale tattoo like that.

Smile What about some kinda roots theme?

Some kinda expanding idea, like a roots, tree thing might be nice. Just a thought.

Here is another pic of an idea I had. A classic tattoo, the snake and dagger.

Hey Fed, I feel a little deprived as the only tattoo artist I know without a knickname.

Some noteable local guys are 'Sweet Pete', 'Kid Joe', 'Bullwinkle', etc. You, of course, are 'Cornfed'. I'm sure you know many artists with 'names'. Do I have to earn it? Is this some unwritten right-of-passage? I need a name brother!

Woe is me...

Andy
