Sorry it took so long to get back to this. I looked in the $50 knife shop and it was not in there. It was however in "The Wonder of Knifemaking" on page 149. It basically describes the method in post #10. There are no pictures but it is easy to follow the directions.

You can do a few things. I think the best way is to go to steelstampsinc. It requires a 1 ton arbor press and a steel stamp with your design on it. Total cost about 200 tops for the whole thing
