EV with modified blade

Took quite a bit off the blade (with my Dremel!)
Found great-looking piece of Cocobolo (and some other beautiful woods as you can see)
Cut out for liner lock as well as a groove for easy access to thumbstud
These are great knives, great size, great action, really good "heft"
Hope you guys like what I did....
Dennis

For a change I'm having trouble with my photo-It's either an issue with Netscape or Macintosh...sorry.

Dennis,

Very Nice Work! And I like you selection of wood!

Nice Photo, too!

With all that wood it looks like you might be making a few more knives, ehh?

Have Fun!

####, Dennis!!

What a great knife. I really love your choice of wood, and you did a super job matching the scales and giving the scallop for the thumbstud. I'm going to steal some ideas from you!!!!!

That's a great blade shape, and it must have taken a while with only a Dremel! You done good!!! That's a pretty glossy finish you have on your blade, too. Lot's of work is being shown.

Thanks for the post! Just as I was going to post a note asking for EV4N's I get two in a week!!!

Dennis, you are HOOKED!!! I'm getting revved up for my next one!

Coop

(.....and your daughter's knife is upcoming, I hope??!!)

Re: modified EV

Coop-
Thanks for the kind words. I worked my butt off on grinding it down into the shape I had in mind, but redesigning that blade was easily the most satisfying aspect of working these kits since I started.

No photo can tell how great this knife looks and feels to me in person. I'm friendly with the guys at three of the many regional Cheasapeake Knife & Tool stores (yeah we're well represented with knives around here in the Baltimore/DC area). They've been impressed with my earlier kits but Blown Away by this one. Just wait'll they see the kits coming in June!!!

Re: My daughter's knife- what can I say, she's a busy teenager..."Daddy it's coming, it's coming" (it really is almost done and so far she's doing a great job).
