Throwing knife

This is the first throwing knife I've tried to make. It's 10 in. overall with a Paul Bos heat treat out of A2, 5/32 steel. I have the balance point on center 5 inches. Anyone wishing to comment on balance points or anything else, I would like to hear from you.

Thanks for looking, Jerry

In my experience, as long as the balance point is somewhere within the middle third of the knife, you are good to go.

Nice Knife.

Looks nice, have you tested it yet? I've always heard that balance is a personal to the thrower.

Most throwers, that I have seen are little blade heavy. But that is a personal thing.

It sure is nice looking. A good ruggid looking frame handle and a real pretty grind.

Thanks guys, I might be on the right track with it. I can still take off some of the handle if need be. The only test I have done is dropping it from about 11 feet high and it just starts to nose over at the ground. I've had quite a few people at the shop enquire about throwing knives, so I thought I would try one, but I don't know anyone off hand to actually throw it. My shoulders don't want me to do that. Thanks on your comments, it does help.
