First Fixed Blade Kit


This is a Hunter Kit from TKS

440C Blade w/Cryo
Nickel Silver Bolsters
Mahogany Scales (just a little flame)
Red Liners
Mosaic Pins







Sheath also from TKS (Finished with the DonCowles Formula)

Now that looks nice. I really like the mosaic with the wood looks great!!

You know, I haven't done any fixed blades yet, so I don't know where to begin.... THAT IS UNBELIEVABLE!!!

You got all the right stuff, and the workmanship is upper-end. Tell us more about your construction and extra's. Man, you are good! That is as nice a 'custom' as I have seen. You need to be proud.

Coop,

I just followed Don Cowles Tutorial on fitting dovetail bolsters (without the dovetail). Liner and epoxy colorant from TKS and it works out pretty easy.

When I did this on the only power tools that I had were a small Drill Press (couldn't do it without it, great first tool) and 1 x 30 Kalamazoo Belt grinder (sander).
