I bought one a couple weeks ago and just discovered that 2 x 42 isn't a common size. 2 x 48 and 1 x 42 can be found everywhere but Sears only carries 120 and 80 grit in the 2 x 42. I found the following supplier through a generic web search (also on eBay) and plan to buy some belts this week.

Belt sanders

Have you considered going for a high quality, professional-grade knifemaking grinder? I can't tell you how much time, trouble, and money this will save you. (Actually, I can if you are interested.)
