Handle pin material?
Hey there,
I'm currently ordering materials for my first few knives and I have a few questions about pinning the handle. I'm planning on making a full-tang tanto blade with micarta handle and I'd like to pin it with stainless steel. Is stainless apropriate for this situation, considering this will be only my second knife. Is one stainless easier to work with than another, or should I just go with nickel silver? Thanks for the help. Dave |

Sounds to me like you could use any pinning material you like and stainless is a good choice. I'm not sure it makes much difference which stainless you choose for pinning but I prefer the 400 series like 410 and 416 ...
