Anti-epoxy?

So, epoxy certainly has its advantages in knifemaking. Anyone who has seen the filework on my handlespines know that I have taken full advantage of it. After all, there is a lot you can do with it.

With that said, knife makers use A LOT of epoxy. There is just a part of me that wants to get away from it. Anyone else feel the same? Anyone have some cool designs that lack or have minimal epoxy?

I dislike using a lot of epoxy but have never been able to completely get away from it... if nothing else for the fact it makes a good moisture barrier. I've always admired the way Karl Andersen does his takedown knives... note the hidden alignment pins.
