Gerber MK2
[IMG][/IMG]
Greetings, Since I made a sheath for a Gerber MK2 for a man whose son just received his Green Beret, I made three more. The knife went back with the sheath and I'm looking for a beat up MK2 cheaply to use to block the new three and any further sheaths. Any help? Thanks in advance. __________________ Bearpaw |

I don't have a Mk2, but I sure do love your sheath. I'll bet the young Green Beret loves it also

The swell on the lower portion of the sheath serves what purpose? It apparently does not duplicate the blade shape as it would be impossible to sheath or draw the blade if the welted edge corresponded to that shape. Is it a straight blade? ---Sandy---
P.S.----Is the snake skin timber rattler? __________________ Martin (Sandy) Morrissey Master Leather Craftsman 1105 Stephens Road Blairsville, GA 30512 706-379-1621 Last edited by Sandy Morrissey; 01-07-2007 at 03:50 PM. |

Sandy,
Greg wanted the sheath to follow the hourglass shape of the blade. The waist of the sheath is sized to the widest part of the blade near the tip. The sheath is not Greg's. Here is the one he ordered. The insert is Diamondback rattler.[IMG][/IMG] __________________ Bearpaw Last edited by Bearpaw; 01-07-2007 at 06:01 PM. |
