Torx screws for handle

I made my second knife with handle on torx screws. For each hole I am using two 3-32 torx screws and a female threaded spacer 1/4 outer diameter. I use counterbore for 5/16 hidden screw from Pop's. Screws are cheap, spacers are only $0.30 each.

I wonder why other people don't use them instead of hidden screws.
It comes out cheaper and you can disassemble handle if you don't want to glue it.

Is that because knife users prefer smooth handle(hidden bolts) vs. handle with holes(torx screws) that might rub your palm?

I'm sure there are all kinds of reasons but, in the end, you should use what you like.

For me, I feel that if the handle CAN be disassembled then it tend to come loose with use. Also, if you don't use glue then water can get under the scales and that can be a problem even with stainless blades and plastic scales ...

I'm trying screws on my gents now as experiments but the hunter I still plan to use pins or hidden screws because cleaning out those areas would be a major pain for the user after field dressing a deer.
