These are getting to be habit forming with you.

Are you still getting the crazy quench lines?

Tai, When you going to do a George Bush? This is the Bushy Bush, right? You need to take a picture of the whole Bush family and post it, I'd like to see the whole clan...

I really like this one Tai. Is it smaller than the others you have been working on? Looks very useful.

It's another crazy quench. I hung an aluminum chime from the quech tank this time, with a tiny copper wire that went into the quenching medium.

The bush family has already been broken up. I sold a few into slavery.

This one is smaller than most, but still chops great.

I still have bush fever.

not only that,

but this is a right-socket instead of the lefties you did before. Changes it up a little - change is good.

I know the sheath is traditional, but I've been thinking... how might the thing look if you did the front a bit differently, carving out a wide-open lattice type thing? I'm having trouble thinking of how to describe it, perhaps I'll take your image and mock it up a little. But some additional covering in front, but leaving an openness, where parts of the blade are still visible, and drainage is not impaired.

Here's what I'm talking about:

just a thought.

I made the socket the other way because that's how most of the traditional one's are. You can wear it on either side. I've seen some old one's that looked like that image you made, with different things going across the opening.

I beleive it was www.vikingsword.com that showed a woven rattan sheath for a filipino knife. Looked pretty cool.
