Historical Folders?
This is the first time that I have gotten on this forum and am intrigued by the possibilities. Since I have gotten consumed resently by making folders I would appreciate it if anyone has a good source for learning about the history of folders and their place in American history. If you have any ideas about a resource please let me know.

Gene Chapman at www.oakandiron.com has a book on making what he calls Mtn Man Folders aka friction type folders. The book is Antler and Iron II I believe.

I think I just read something the other day about a folder from my favorite era...
 I'll have to try and find it. I think there was an article on the history of American folders in a Knifeworld a few years back. I'll see if I still have it.
