Just got mine back from heat treat. Trying to figure out how to put a good looking handle on it. Thinking of elk or stag.

some progress..... 9" blade of 1084
rough ground before draw filing and sanding

handle material is box elm burl.

am debating if or not to try that super glue finishing technique. ive seen some knock out handles done that way but have not tried it myself yet.

Well, I got it put together. 8 1/4" cable Damascus blade, guard and pommel. The handle is stabilized Buckeye burl. Got to get it spit and polished up then a scabbard. I believe the next one I'm going for a full on hammon. This cable really shows it off.
