Strange 3-finger-knife...

Finally finished the next one: slightly bigger 3-finger-knife, influenced by Tai Goo's 'Bushknives'.

Specs:
OAL 6.4 in
Blade 3.1 in
one side flat ground

Steel is RWL 34, handrubbed to 1200 grit (you woudn't think so from the scan)
Handlematerial is bamboo (for use as flooring)

The handle is pretty hefty for a three finger knife (thickness about 0.7 in), but because of that it is very secure.

More pictures, including some 'making of', can be found in this album:album knife 11

Thanks for looking, comments welcome!

Jens.

Strange? Maybe a little, but I like it. Very nice.

Thanks, jbaron and Keith. Strange is probably the wrong word, maybe 'a little unusual' is more fitting.

Jens.

Another good one from you. As you know, I really admire how you execute these very clean pieces with your "I've got no equipment" approach... I recognise the TaiGoo influence and the handle material is very fitting. There's almost no grain to see, but somehow you've made it all look really good together. Congrats. Jason.
