My Newest Acquisition....

I just got this in hand yesterday and I'm pretty excited. I bought this as an investment so probably just going to hang on to it for a while.

It's a mammoth tusk for those who don't know.

37" long, almost 10 pounds

It's quite solid and as completely blue as you can get. I've never seen any this blue. I'm like a little kid at Christmas!

My wife has me investing in silver and gold. I should see if I can get her interested in a tusk like that. WOW!

WOW..... If you ever start selling some of that investment, I'd sure like to buy some of it. That blue looks just amazing.

Man... that is an excellent specimen!

I've handled a blue ton of that stuff and I'll second how great that tusk is!

Top notch!

I dunno John. That dyed stuff doesn't always go over real well. See if you can talk Ed into taking it down to San Antonio in a couple of weeks. Can we borrow a saw too, and we'll get it all divvied up for you. I'm sure there will be much interest in your investment, and it'll be much safer than with Jim.

You have every right to be proud of that piece. I don't know what is sadder, the fact YOU own it and not me (joking) or that someday it's going to be cut into.

Simply exquisite.

That will be worth for more money down the road left intact then if it gets cut up into projects.
