SWEET! I can hardly ever keep my Stag slabs flat like that so I generally go with crown. Nice job!

Oh, no Bruce. These were a set of scales ready jigged I purchased last Fall from Rade Hawkins. They are fairly flat and uniform as is.

I really like that winterbottom style jigging. They really set that piece off!

Thank you, thank you. I have made several of this pattern. The photo is actually foreshortened a bit. The blade is wider towards the tip than appears. Good cutter.

I like it a lot. Did you take any photos that would show the frame handle?

No, I didn't think of that but it would make a nice sequence. This is the third (fourth?) such I have made and this one went smoothly. They are a lot of work doing it by hand, just a lot of hacksawing and rasping and then some. A small wheel grinder set up would speed up waste removal a LOT. This was the simpler type with out the inner-liners, hence the multiple pins to tie it all together. It is only three pieces. The frame of 3/16 mild steel, the two scales. You assemble the frame and scales and then insert tang and add the last rivets.

However you did it, it seems to have worked well. I really like how the knife looks.
