Bead blasted blade

Ed, While we were at Blade We talked briefly about your SS. EBK's. The one that had the bead blasted finish. Did you tape the front of the scales prior to the bead blast??

Thanks

Sorry, got distracted.

Anyway, I don't. On EBKs that have G10 handles, the handles get bead blasted too. Now, here's a "trick".....You know how micarta and G10 will get all nasty looking when handled? You know, oils and such from your hands? Well....I seal all micarta and G10 handles with a coat of Tru-Oil. Just enough to cover, applied with my fingertip, then clean it right back off with a fresh paper towel. (almost to the point of it being "dried off") Then set it aside for a couple of hours.

The handles stay good looking, and do not get stained, etc.

You know I'm liking that signature line also. Thanks for answering my question I kind of thought you did that way.
