Peter Atwood's New Video

I just received Peter's Folder video. It is very well done. He shows you how to make a great knife with a modestly equiped shop. I highly recommend it to any one interested in making their first folder.

Atwood Folder Video

Thanks for you effort in putting this video together, Peter.

I believe he will be listing it for sale in the supplies tab above under (book/videos)

Thanks Bob! I really appreciate the kind words.

The video was a blast to make. I thought that the cameraman did a fantastic job considering there was no written script and he had to pretty much follow me around and catch the details of what I was doing. We really tried hard to keep it light and keep the action moving and at the same time convey all the vital and essential info. With a video that long and a subject this complicated it would be easy to get bogged down in details and put the viewer to sleep. Considerable time was spent editing the raw footage.

Glad you enjoyed it! I'd be interested to hear what parts you found most informative or most interesting.

Thanks,

I have to second the motion on this video--very informative start to finish professional tutorial. One of the added touches is that Peter gives you a list of where you can all of the supplies to make the knife. Excellent work.

I received Peter's video and it's excellent! I think it is one of the best videos that I have every bought and it was done by him and a friend, I've paid twice that for a professional video and Peter's video was much more informative, close up were great too. Thanks Peter

I got mine last week! Same as above! I love the "shoot from the hip" approach...no rehersing, no editing...just go into the shop and make it from start to finish.....this is definately a real world approach with lots of great info.

And the best part...It is very inspirational.... Now I'm can't wait to get into the shop to make a folder.

I ordered my video from the online web site...flawless transaction and it showed up in a couple of days.

Thanks for making this available Peter!

Sincerely,
Rob

Thank you Yendor! There's enough in there to get you started and it should keep you out of mischief for a little while. Stick around the forums and you'll learn lots more of the finer points. BTW, you will LOVE Rob Frink's machines!

Oh yeah, did you ask Rob to do the rubber contact wheel on top of the platen? I couldn't live without it....

Yes well we had a little chat about your grinder when i bought mine so im getting the same size wheel as yours. he said let me think i think Peter has a 70 wheel on it and said they all are ajustable now like yours. I am getting the slack belt attachment and a small wheel. cant wait but i have to get something to cut the metal I have been looking at a grizzly band saw. You should do more videos. maybe one showing how you go from idea to layout and tickness all that. I have a lowe light kit. i could lend it to you for a free copy of the new video hint hint
i used to be a computer programer and have worked with video for years. I HOPE YOU MAKE SOME MORE VIDEOS. later
