Oh No! Did I Just Ruin a Stag Handle? Help.
While removing a stag scale from a knife I'm making, I accidentally cracked the corner.
I intended to reuse the piece after modifying it a little. Now I'm wondering if I should throw in the junk draw or try to salvage it. Problem is I wouldn't know how to go about repairing it. Do I super glue it? Is there a cement or bond that will work... that will take on the same color as the stag? Any advise would be helpful. Regards. |

Can you take the corner with the modification or modify it in another way to take away the cracked corner? That would be your best bet. It will also matter if this is a knife that you will be using yourself or is it for someone else. It it's not for you and you can't modify the scale to take away the damaged section as yourself how would you feel putting out a knife with a patched scale on it.
