New Platen Liner


Hi Steve, the pyroceram came today, I'm going to go down and epoxy it on with some J B Weld and I'll be in business tomorrow. Thanks for the fast turnaround on my odd size.

Does this liner give a cushioning effect and stop the lap slap, or is it just to stop heat build up? Ray

It does tend to give a different/better feel when grinding. Some makers radius the upper edge some which probably helps eliminate the slap you speak of. I've also heard some say that it also eliminates the little worms trails one gets from the normal steel type platens.
