Katana Videos

This is my first post on this forum, and I like what I see as far as advice, so here goes. I was thumbing through BLADE magazine the other day and i saw a two-tape set of instructional videos on how to make katana from start to finish. I immediately took a liking to these, but the price tag always comes at the end of the ad , and it was a big one, at 90 dollars for 2 h 15 m of video. My eyes nearly popped out of my head. Have any of you guys bought this set of videos? Is it worth it? I dunno, just sounds like a lot of money for not a lot of stuff... :/

Thanks,
Jon

$90 bucks for 2 hours or apprenticing for free for 10 years...

Bladesmithing is hard-won knowledge for all of us. If you're curious you just might have to bite.

if you are speaking of wally hayes stock removal katana video there was a thread over at blade forums a little while ago discussing its merits and everyone thought it was a fantastic video that clearly shows each step in making a katana the only complaint was no forging,,90 dollars for a clear understanding of making a katana is a good deal
