Wow, I'd like a Rolex, too!
I could sell it to some yuppie biker and buy a mill...... Nah, bike days are behind me with this shot body. I am quite content with the memories of some fine times. Besides, I never bought into alot of that biker cr@p anyway. I always got a charge out of the t-shirt that said "Real Men Wear Black". I always figured "real men" wore whatever the *&^$ they wanted. |

Fitzo, get a Hack! (sidecar) Those are some sharp hammers. I've seen folks post pictures of the twisted heads, never seen them for sale. Could you recommend a starter set of 2 for knife work? Twisted or otherwise? I promise I won't use them on the Dyna. Often. Mark

Id say that allround forging hammer with striaght pein at 3 or 4# (it will do it all) and one that isnt on there and never talked about but i use on every blade is a flattening hammer, can set bevels and also get your blade incredibly straight, which jack also makes.

From my experince I can't handle a 3 or 4 lbs hammer all day. I took two of "Tom Clarks" hammers with me to the ABS into class (2 & 3 lb) and was unable to use the heavy one after the second day. I used my 2 lb cross pen for everything. The only other hammer I used was a "Flatter". I just I'm just a wimp !!!!!!!! but I don't like "mule" tracks on the riccasso (I need better control, and strengh before moving to a heavier hammer).

I had a Tom Clark that just wore me out. I bought heavy thinking I would work my way up to it, HA! I have noticed the really good smiths seem to move metal just fine with a lighter hammer. I would buy another TC, just lighter. I would love to have a good flatter.
