If I only had a hammer...

... I could make another hammer.

Hmm, might as well post over here since the big move is tomorrow...

I finally finished making a new hammer, well mostly, I still need to cut a slot in the handle. Started out as a two pound ball peen. I squared the face, and made it really flat other then the edges. I think this will help me leave less, or at least shallower, hammer marks. I made the ball end into an almost straight diaginal peen. I have the holes drilled for the shock resistant handle though I don't have any good tools to make the slot so I'll have to figure that out. I haven't had a chance to use it yet but I think it'll work pretty well for me.

I'm working on a grass whip to take care of it, but more interesting projects keep coming up and once I finish it I'll be expected to use it . No worries here about snakes though, there's almost no poisonous snakes around here unlike your neck of the woods.
