Anyone Have Info On Michael Price?
Im trying to find out if Michael Price of California made carving sets?? I Understand he was also an Importer of cutlery.
Does anyone know if he marked these M. Price? Thanks God Bless Mike __________________ "I cherish the Hammer of Thor, but I praise the hand of God" |

Here is a pic of the aledged flea market find. Speculation as to their value is behond my ability. Fighters would be worth more than a carving set. And whether they were made by Price or imported from Sheffield for resale would affect the value. Let us know what you find out.

Quote:
in Bernard Levine's 'Knifemakers of old San Francisco' there are several pictures of carving sets marked 'M. Price San Fransisco'. From the text, I would think that these were actually made by him or rather his 'company'. It seems that he imported some cutlery, but I cannot tell how these were then marked... Jens. |
