Anyone Have Info On Michael Price?

Im trying to find out if Michael Price of California made carving sets?? I Understand he was also an Importer of cutlery.
Does anyone know if he marked these M. Price?

Thanks

God Bless

Mike

Here is a pic of the aledged flea market find. Speculation as to their value is behond my ability. Fighters would be worth more than a carving set. And whether they were made by Price or imported from Sheffield for resale would affect the value. Let us know what you find out.

Hi Mike,

in Bernard Levine's 'Knifemakers of old San Francisco' there are several pictures of carving sets marked 'M. Price San Fransisco'. From the text, I would think that these were actually made by him or rather his 'company'. It seems that he imported some cutlery, but I cannot tell how these were then marked...

Jens.
