Latest work

Just thought I would share what I've been up to the last few weeks.

First one is one that a guy and I sketched up and then his wife stepped in and told him he couldn't buy another knife. I like the design so I started it anyway. Not sure what I will use for scales.

1084 steel, blade is 4.25" and the OAL is 8.75"

This next one was a commissioned piece, the purchaser and I would e-mail sketches back and forth until we agreed on this design.

1084 steel, blade is 4" and OAL is 9". Buffalo horn bolster, tigerstripe cocobolo scales and red liner and spacer.

Both of them look like nice blades, it will be interesting to see them finished.

So this one is about done, a couple more coats of true oil and then a lite buff and it'll be complete and off to it's new owner.

This was the concept drawing

And the result

Looking good! Nice touches with the mosaic pins and red spacer. Great colors going together there.

I think that is the most interesting presentation of cocobolo that I've ever seen....
