Nice as usual Ron! Your inlays look great and your shading just gets better all the time.

Ron:

This is a really great job that you've done here. You have improved dramatically since your last photo posting. (Can you make a rubber mold and send it me? ;-) ) I have tried a transfer of one of the molds you gave me at the BLADE Show dinner, and I appreciate now how hard it must be to do an original layout of scrollwork. Just the act of copying from a mold is a difficult procedure, made quantum leaps easier. I commend you, sir.

And thanks again for those molds. It is a teasure trove from an experienced engraver, to a novice.

Sincerely,
Mark Greenbaum in Nashville, TN

Very nice design Ron. Great work. Are you screwing this bolster down on a plate to engrave it? Thanks for showing it.

Joe

thanls to everybody for your comments . yes i am pleased with the photos the only other problem i see is the lighting problem and i am working on that . mark yes i can send you those molds i have made a couple of them in order to transfer the pattern to the left side just e-mail me your address . .. joe when i get the bolsters they are bolted to a plate i do like this method it keeps from damaging the bolster while trying to hold it in the vise .. ron

Ron

Beautiful engraving and classic. I like the disposition of the design and the inlay of gold.
I am a follower of their engravings friend.

Wow Ron, looks great!

I love the little detailing on the edges of the leves. The overall composition is very nicley balanced too.

A classy, classic design, with your own unique adaptations. Some nice subtleties in the shading, too.

Your engraving is so nice to view....not over worked and well balanced.

Love it!

Nice work Ron. Great shading, and I really like the stipled background.
