Engraving on golf clubs

I have some putters that I have been asked to engrave on. Does anyone have any exprience on engraving golf putters. I was told that they are made of 431 Stainless Steel and are heat treated. They are hard and look to be a casting. Has anyone annealed, engraved, and retempered any of these putters or someting similar. Any advice, experience or thoughts would be appreciated.

I've seen guys have the line-up markings enhanced. Most clubs are very soft from a RC standpoint. I've used a dremmel to work on the grooves and they generally melt like butter.

I'm a candidate to have a putter engraved if you get it worked out.

Good luck and please post some photos when you're done!!!

Alex
